Bread machine

Ingredients

(Medium loaf is a little more than half the machine's capacity.)

Steps
- In a bowl, mix together the liquid ingredients (milk and water) and butter. Microwave the mix until the butter is ~90% melted.
- Add salt and mix well. Transfer the mixture into the bread pan
- Add flour to the mix, distributing evenly
- Distribute sugar evenly on top
- Distribute active dry yeast evenly on top
- Select mode 1 (regular white bread) and start. It should take 2hr 45mins
- When there is 25 minutes left, open the lid to reduce the temperature of the machine, and then close it back
- When there is 15 minutes left, stop the machine and take the bread pan out, placing it upside down on a rack to cool for 15 minutes
- Once it has cooled, slice the bread with a bread knife
Comments
- This recipe makes a soft bread, similar to "shokupan" or milk bread. (Unlike the recipe in the manual which is hard like a baguette)
