Honey scones



Ingredients

Yields 6 scones
  • Cake flour 170g (Can substitute with 150g all purpose flour + 20g corn starch)
  • Unsalted butter (cold) 40g
  • Egg 1 pc
  • Milk 50g
  • Baking powder 5g
  • Honey 20g
  • Sugar 10g
  • Salt 1g
  • Honey (for glazing)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a medium bowl and mix well. Cut butter into small pieces and add to the bowl. Mix well with hands
  3. Add egg, milk and honey, mix with spatula
  4. Divide the scone dough into 6 pieces and bake in 400°F for 20 mins
  5. Remove scones from the oven and use a brush to glaze honey on top of scones and serve
